Author

Michelle Stark has transitioned from the courtroom to the writer’s desk, pursuing her passion for storytelling. Want to find out why? Her debut memoir delves into the intricate world of canines, caregivers, and unexpected fragility.

Lawyer

Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University with a Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Anthropology. She has a Juris Doctor Degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Michelle practised civil litigation for almost two decades. She was a partner in a prominent law firm and has served as one of the first few female presidents of the Hamilton Law Association.

Farmer

Michelle lives on a picturesque Canadian farm with her husband, where they produce award-winning maple syrup and share their lives with several dogs, a flock of sheep, wooly pigs, curly-feathered geese, a few hives of honey bees, a peacock named Blue and according to her husband, “way too many” chickens. When Michelle isn’t writing, she is taking inspiration from her menagerie of animals, harvesting flowers and food from her kitchen garden, making maple syrup, putting honey in jars, or getting an order of heritage eggs ready for her loyal local customers.
